PhytoMat

Tile Estimator

The PhytoMat Tile Estimator works out an exact material list from the shape of your planter, so you can order the right quantities and plan the layout before installation begins.

How It Works

Enter your space one of two ways: import a drawing (a DXF or SVG outline of the planter footprint), or type the width and length in by hand.

The estimator fits the 12″ tile grid to your outline and finds the alignment that needs the fewest cut tiles. You can nudge that alignment yourself at any time.

You get a live layout preview with counts for structural and trim-to-fit tiles, cups, and caps, plus a suggested water tank size.

When the layout looks right, export it as a DXF to drop back into your own drawings.

Preparing a Drawing

An import reads one closed outline of the planter footprint and tiles the area inside it. A clean outline gives the most reliable result.

Supported Formats

DXF and SVG. DWG files should be exported to DXF first.

What to Submit

A single closed outline: one closed polyline, polygon, or rectangle.

Just the boundary, with no dimensions, text, hatching, or other shapes, and no nested outlines.

Straight-edged outlines import most reliably.

Prefer not to work from a drawing? Switch to Manual Input in the estimator and type in the planter width and length instead.
