Assembly · Step 3 of 4

Connecting the Lighting & Electrical

This step covers sensor mounting, control unit positioning, light bar installation, and final testing. Complete Steps 1–2 before beginning this step.

Ensure the power supply is not plugged in to power at any point during this step.

Assembly Video

Watching the full video before beginning is highly recommended.

Components

Liquid Level Sensor
LED Indicator
ILCU Cage
ILCU (Integrated Lighting & Control Unit)
Power Supply
LED Harness Splitter
LED Wire Harness
LED Light Bars (×4)
Lever Wire Nuts (×4)
Threaded Couplings (×4)

Instructions

01

Install the Liquid Level Sensor

Remove the hex nut from the Liquid Level Sensor, leaving the O-Ring on the sensor. Thread the sensor wire through the hole in the tank, leaving the black part of the sensor and the O-Ring inside the tank. Thread the hex nut on the outside of the tank and hand-tighten firmly until secure.

02

Set Up the Base Box

Gently place the tank inside the Base Box, sliding it toward the front face.

Thread the barrel connector of the Power Supply through the large hole in the Base Box and set the power brick outside the box.

Screw the (4) Threaded Couplings into the threaded holes on the ILCU Cage. Rest the ILCU Cage at an angle on top of the tank. Slide the ILCU into the slots on the right side of the ILCU Cage.

Connect the barrel connector from the Power Supply to the ILCU. Connect the LED Indicator connector to the corresponding connector on the ILCU. Connect the Liquid Level Sensor connector to the ILCU.

03

Install the Light Bars

Grab the LED Light Bar with the wire coming out of the left side. Slide the magnetic connectors toward the center of the bar, about 5" from the outside edges. Remove the magnetic cover from the top-most bracket on the frame, place the Light Bar in the channel flush, thread the wires through the channel, and replace the magnetic cover.

Grab the LED Light Bar with the wire coming out of the right side. Remove the magnetic cover from the 2nd bracket from the top, place the Light Bar in the channel flush, thread the wire through the channel, and replace the magnetic cover.

Grab one of the LED Light Bars with the wire coming out of the center of the end cap. Thread the wire through the small opening in the crossbar beneath the 3rd bracket from the top. Pull the wire taut, attach the Light Bar to the frame, then thread the wires through the back of the frame. Repeat for the last bar on the bottom-most bracket.

Starting from the bottom of the back of the frame, use a lever wire nut to connect the wires from the lowest Light Bar to the shortest wire of the LED Wire Harness. Working upward, repeat for the remaining three Light Bars, pulling the LED Wire Harness through the back of the Base Box if it becomes taut. Once all wires are connected, tuck them into the channel.

Make sure the wire colors match at each connection point.

04

Test the System

Connect power to the unit and press the light switch button to test the lights. Verify that all four Light Bars illuminate, then turn the lights off. If any bar does not illuminate, recheck the wire connections in the channel for that bar before proceeding.
